Alabanda Ancient City
Alabanda is an ancient city located within the borders of Doğanbey Village of Çine district. In the Carian language, Ala (horse) means banda (race).
Alabanda is known as the only ancient city with the authority to mint money. It is known that glass was melted as a result of high heat due to the mountains around the ancient city, and roses were produced due to the fertile lands around the city.
More than half of this ancient city theater, which is said to be as important as the Ancient City of Ephesus by famous historians, has been lost. There is also the parliament building and two temples, most of which have been destroyed. The walls surrounding the ancient city seem more solid than the other parts.
You can reach it by using the Çine minibuses departing from Aydın city center. There is a distance of approximately 10 kilometers between Çine district center and the ancient city.
