Alaca Turkish Bath
The Hamam was built by Hamza Bey in the XV. It was built in the middle of the century. Hamza Bey is the brother of Arnavut Bayezid Pasha from umera. II. Murad II took the throne in 1444. When he came to Manisa, leaving it to Mehmed, he served the sultan. Alaca Hamam is a double hamam. The east of the building, which extends in the north-south direction, is arranged as the men's section and the west as the women's section. The changing rooms are square-planned and dome-covered volumes. In the men's section, unlike the women's section, there is a transverse rectangular-planned warm room. The hot places of the bath are in the style called the type with a dome in the middle, with a transverse temperature and with double private rooms. The square planned private cells are covered with a dome. Behind the private rooms, there is a water tank, furnace and woodshed. The building material is stone and brick.
