Ali Pasha Turkish Bath

The bath, which is a part of the Ali Pasha Complex, is located to the east of the mosque. The bath, which does not have an inscription, is dated to 1572, assuming that it was built at the same time as the mosque. The building, which was severely damaged in the 1939 and 1943 earthquakes, was repaired and is still used as a bath today. The bath, which was built on a rectangular area in the east-west direction, belongs to the group of double-functional baths consisting of women and men sections. In the bath, which was built in a plan scheme with four iwans and a corner private room, the dressing room, cold room, temperature, water tank and furnace sections were placed in a symmetrical order from east to west. In the men's section, locker rooms, cold and warm centers, private rooms and iwans are covered with domes. There are elephant eyes on the domes arranged to bulge outwards on the top. The room in the south of the cold room in the men's section and the iwans of the women's section are covered with a mirrored vault and the water tank is covered with a barrel vault. The men's section, which is entered through a portal on the east façade, has no openings other than the windows on both sides of the portal. The women's section is entered through a plain door in the northeast corner. The dressing room of this section has no windows that open outwards. Brick was used in the covering system of the bath, which was completely built with smooth cut stone material and was covered with lead from the outside. Brick was used as filling material in the window arch pediments. Alipaşa Hamam Men's and Women's sections serve 7 days a week separately. The men's section is open 7 days a week between 06:00 and 23:00. The women's section is open 7 days between 09:00 and 18:00. In addition, the evening bath serves women 2 days a week, on Fridays and Saturdays, between 17:00 and 21:30. On your special days, we can offer our facility to you completely during the daytime or evening hours with activities such as the Bridal Bath, the Day Bath and the Celebration Bath. As Alipaşa Hamam, we are happy to welcome you, our esteemed guests.
