Allianoi
Allianoi İzmiri is an ancient city of Mysia located in the Paşa Ilıcası area, 18th km of the Bergama-İvrindi highway within the borders of Bergama district, northeast of Bergama, right in the middle of the Yortanlı Dam reservoir area. This cult center dedicated to the God of Health Asklepios was established right in the middle of the valley with Bağ Tepe and Abdal Tepe to the south and Çamlık Tepe to the north. The İlya Stream passing through the middle of the cult center has caused floods throughout history in certain seasons. The reason for choosing this area is that it has a hot water source that is still 47 0 C and has favorable climatic conditions due to its location in the strait. It has been determined that the center is spread over an area of 300 m. east-west and 200 m. wide, right above the hot water source. Two symmetrical bridges were built on the Ilya River, which divides Allianoi into two, one of which is still in use at the east and west ends, the other of which only a ramp and one leg remain today. The hot water source is still present in the structures both south and north of the stream bed.
