Alman Fountain

Cesme, XIX. It was built by Hacı Adil Bey at the end of the century . Located in the Karakaş District, at the corner of the Hızırbey Mosque garden wall facing the market square, the fountain was previously located in the middle of the Çarşı Square, but later moved to its current location. As a square fountain with four faces, it was built entirely of marble with a square plan. One side of the square planned fountain was canceled when it was moved to its present location, attached to the wall. The façades of the fountain, which attracts attention with its workmanship and decorations, are the same, and the decorations are concentrated on the mirror stone and its upper part. On the upper part of the mirror stone, there is an inscription and a pointed arch-shaped frame made of marble of two different colors, and a hobnail on each side of the arch form. Under the faucets, there are large marble basins mounted on the body of the fountain. Before the top cover of the fountain was moved from its old place, it was formed with an onion-shaped dome placed in the center of inclined surfaces with wide eaves, but when it was moved to its current location, it was formed as a flat reinforced concrete floor.
