It consists of two main masses. The masses on Boztepe Island and Zindan District are connected by a bridge called "Boztepe Arch". Located in Boztepe and also called "Sormagir Castle", the building belongs to the Roman period. The southern walls of the castle are 200 meters and there are 6 bastions on it. The part in Zindan District, on the other hand, surrounds an area 300 meters long and 50 meters wide. Its average height is 17 meters. Amasra Castle was used extensively, especially by the Genoese, and underwent serious repairs in the 14th and 15th centuries.
