Amasya Çilehane Mosque
In 1413, Yakup Pasha, one of the orders of Çelebi Mehmet, had it built. The building used as a mosque today is essentially a Halveti Lodge. It consists of tekke, masjid and çilehane cells. On the west side of the western entrance of the building, there is a structure that is thought to be a tomb. The main walls of the building are made of rubble stones filled with red mortar. This masonry is supported by two rows of horizontally laid brick lines. The mosque is entered through a door with a large iwan made of cut stone. The door is arched. The windows that illuminate the interior are with marble frames and brick arches. When you enter the interior from the west door, there is a masjid and private rooms accessed by small passages on the right, and a tomb and a lodge on the left. A large dome covers the mosque and the dervish lodge. Çilehane, which was badly damaged by the 1939 earthquake, was repaired in 1964 by the General Directorate of Foundations.
