Amasya Yörgüç Pasha Mosque
The mosque was built in 1428 by Yörgüç Pasha. Yörgüç Pasha was the Sancakbey of Amasya for a while, and later on, when Çelebi Mehmet appointed his son Murat to Amasya Sancakbeylik at a young age, he remained in Amasya as Prince Murat's tulip. Yörgüç Pasha, who would also serve as a vizier during the reign of Sultan Murat II, had important services in Amasya and its surroundings. Yörgüç Pasha Mosque is one of the most common inverted T-plan mosques in Amasya. Smooth cut stone was used on the walls. The occasional use of red and white marble on thick walls and window arches that illuminate the space has given the building a colorful appearance.
