Anatolia Business Center

Anadolu Han, today known as Anatolia Business Center, is a historic commercial structure in Trabzon dating back to the 19th century. Built as a traditional caravanserai-style inn, the building reflects the architectural and commercial life of the period.

The han features a two-gate courtyard layout, with entrances located on the northern and southern façades. Its courtyard was originally surrounded by arcaded galleries, and the rooms opened onto these porticoes through doors and windows. Stone stairways on the southern side provided access to the upper floor, illustrating the functional design typical of Ottoman trade inns.

Although the structure has lost much of its original architectural integrity over time, the arcades and courtyard now remain partially integrated within surrounding shops. Despite these changes, the building continues to represent Trabzon’s historic trade culture and urban commercial heritage.

With its courtyard layout, arcaded structure, and historical significance, Anadolu Han stands as an important reminder of Trabzon’s commercial past and architectural tradition.
