Ancient City of Cadianda
Kadyanda is an ancient settlement from the Lycian period located in the Fethiye district of Muğla. It is located on a hill 24 km from Fethiye, southeast of Üzümlü Town. It was located on the Kaunos - Araxa road in ancient times. In the Kadyanda archaeological site, a section of the city wall surrounding the city, rock tombs and Lycian inscriptions are the remains that can be dated to the earliest period. In addition to these, the Hellenistic Period theater, which was also used after being repaired in the Roman Period, the bathhouse, the running track, the agora, the remains of a temple to which an unknown god belongs and the traces of dense civil structures reveal the characteristics of a city that was fully inhabited in the Ancient Period. From here, the Gulf of Fethiye, especially Fethiye and its harbor, can be easily seen. The surroundings of the ancient city and even some parts of it are covered with pine trees.
