Ancient Rock Paintings
They are artifacts left by people living in prehistoric times. The rock paintings consist of human figures, various symbols and animal shapes drawn on the steep cliffs in the Gevrek Valley of the Cilo, Sat Mountains. Many similar rock paintings were found on the Tirşin plateau. It contains clues about the period. These rare artifacts, which were unearthed in 1938, are thought to have a 7500-year history, but according to another view, they may date back a few hundred years. The fact that there are pictures of wild sheep and goats among the paintings has made the idea that the communities that continued their lives by hunting and gathering in prehistoric times gained weight by telling the pictures of the animals they hunted.
