Armenian Apostolic Church

The Batumi Armenian Apostolic Church (Church of Christ the Savior), which was rebuilt by the Austrian architect Malfred in 1885 with the money donated by the community, after the Armenian-Gregorian Church, which was first built in 1873 as wood, was destroyed in Batumi; It is the national church of the Armenian people.


Although a planetarium was opened in the building of the church, which lost its existence like other religious monuments in the region during the Soviet rule in 1930, this structure was moved to Batumi State University in 1992 and the church building was opened for worship again.
