Arslantepe Höyüğü
7km from Malatya. It is an archaeological settlement located in the north-east. It is one of the largest mounds in Turkey. The mound is to the west of the Karakaya Dam Lake on the Euphrates river. Thirty meters high mound BC. 5 thousand years AD. It was inhabited until the 11th century. District M.S. It was used as a Roman village in the 5th and 6th centuries, and later as a Byzantine Necropolis. The settlement area is 200 x 120 meters in size.
