Astronomical Clock Tower
The Astronomical Clock Tower, built in Germany with the initiative of the Batumi City Council and placed on the façade of the National Bank of Georgia near Europe Square; It resembles towers with similar functions in Prague and Venice and draws attention with its architecture.
The tower, which emits a melodious bell every hour and a short warning tone every half hour, as well as notifying the time; It also shows astronomical information such as the position of the sun, moon, zodiac constellation and planets. It even presents the meridian, the horizon, sunrise and sunset, the age of the moon, and the real movement of the moon around the earth.
