Ataturk House
The three-story “Mesudiye Hotel”, which is believed to have been built in the early years of 1900, was allocated to Mustafa Kemal Pasha's residence (as headquarters). Between May 25 and June 13, 1919, the room of this building where he carried out his activities was preserved with his belongings and opened to visitors under the name of “Gazi Room”.
It was used by the Fire Department for a period. While the first floor was designed as a place where handicrafts were exhibited, on the second floor; Atatürk's study room, resting and bedroom and Havza room were reorganized with the items used at that time. On the third floor; Amasya, Sivas, Erzurum and Ankara rooms were organized in dedication to the provinces where the preliminary preparations for the national struggle were made. In these rooms, the works carried out in those periods were reflected with pictures and writings. Ethnographic and folkloric items are also exhibited in the halls of the two floors.
Atatürk's mummy, which is still on display, attracts great interest from local and foreign tourists.
