Built in 1913, Trabzon Atatürk Mansion is a four-story building with a basement. The large room on the third floor was Atatürk's bedroom.
The Great Leader Atatürk came to Trabzon as an Autumn Trip and after this visit, this mansion was gifted to him by Trabzon Municipality. After this event, the mansion became known as Atatürk Mansion by the people of Trabzon.
The importance of Trabzon Atatürk Mansion is based on the fact that Atatürk donated all his assets to the state treasury and registered it in this house in the presence of a notary public.
At the entrance of Atatürk Mansion, which was converted into a museum by Trabzon Municipality after Atatürk's death, the full text of Atatürk's speech on his first visit to Trabzon, photographs of Atatürk's life and visits to Trabzon are exhibited. In addition, the seat where Atatürk signed the signature registering that he donated his assets to the state treasury is also located in the museum.
