Bakibey Mansion
It is one of the most beautiful examples of the Turkish-Islamic works of 17th century Ottoman civil architecture in Burdur. The mansion is a two-storey building consisting of wood and thick massive mud brick walls on a stone foundation that continues until the end of the window on the ground floor. The upper floor has a large iwan facing the garden and the side street. The space between the laths on the ceiling of the iwan is decorated with green and red earth paints. The gable roof of the mansion is covered with Turkish style tiles. On the eastern edge of the iwan is the selamlik, that is, the head room. The most eye-catching room of the mansion is the Başoda.
