Baklan Boğaziçi Mosque
Boğaziçi Town Old Mosque has a vertical rectangular plan and three naves. It was made in 1181 Hijri. Its walls are made of stone up to the foundation level, and it is covered with mud brick. The rectangular sanctuary is divided into three naves with wooden supports. The supports are connected to each other with Bursa belt. The side walls are supported internally and externally by square wooden pillars. The mihrab is in the form of a semicircular niche covered with a muqarnas cavsara. Its wooden pulpit and pulpit are unadorned. The ceiling and wooden supports feature rich hand-carved decorations. The walls of the sanctuary are adorned with wall paintings consisting of plant and geometric ornaments and architectural depictions. While the top of the mosque was a flat earthen roof, its soil was removed and covered with a roof inclined in four directions.
