Behram Pasha Mosque

Behram Pasha Mosque was built in 1564-1572 by the 13th Ottoman Governor of Diyarbakir, Behram Pasha. The building takes place in Tuhfetü'l Mi'marin, where the works of Mimar Sinan are compiled. The work, which is made entirely of cut stone and has a single dome, is among the structures rich in stonework in Diyarbakır with its interior and exterior decorations. The walls inside the mosque from the bottom to a certain height XVI. century Iznik tiles. Another feature of the mosque is that there is a narthex with five naves overflowing from the double-staged sides in the north. The last congregation place overflowed to the sides, and a minaret was placed on the right side. The entrance door of the mosque is surrounded by a muqarnas border and an inscription is placed on it.
