Bodrum Ancient Theatre
The Antique Theater, the only remaining structure from Classical Age Bodrum, is located at the foot of Göktepe Mountain in the center of Bodrum. About 3,000 people can watch a show on this stage at the same time, but it is estimated that the theater had a much larger capacity in the past. The ancient theater, which has been in the service of culture for 2400 years, was restored in the 1960s. At the beginning of the most striking points of the theater, we can show the altar where the sacrifice was made in the name of Dionysus and the holes between the seats for which the exact purpose is unknown.
