Boncuklu Höyük
Boncuklu Höyük is located 9 km from Çatalhöyük, within the borders of Hayoğlu Town of Karatay District, southeast of Konya City centre. It is a mound located in the distance. The community that inhabited Boncuklu Höyük is a settled hunter-gatherer community. No evidence of agriculture was found during the excavations. However, the inhabitants of Boncuklu Höyük are thought to be "a group at the beginning of the agricultural phase" and are seen as the forerunner of the Çatalhöyük Culture. The hill measures 180 x 120 meters and is 2 meters high. It is stated that the settlement on this hill is spread over an area of 1 hectare.
