Çadır Höyük
Çadırhöyük; It is located in the Esenli - Gelingüllü Dam Basin, approximately 2 kilometers south of the Cheeseyemez Village, in the Sorgun district of Yozgat. It is approximately 32 meters high and 220 meters in diameter. Çadırhöyük was first discovered by Von der Osten in 1926. Within the scope of Alişar Local Surveys, in 1993, on behalf of the University of Chicago, Dr. Excavations and researches started in 1999 are still continuing in the mound, which was re-examined by Ronald L. Gorny. As a result of the excavations carried out in Çadırhöyük, crosses, bronze needles, weights, spindle whorls, terracotta artifacts, and worked bones were found. Layers belonging to the Chalcolithic, Early Bronze Age, Proto-Hittite, Hittite Imperial Age, Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods were identified.
