Çanakkale Epos Promotion Center

Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center is located in Çanakkale, Eceabat, Kabatape. It was designed to commemorate the Dardanelles Wars forever and to keep these spirits alive by transmitting the Canakkale spirit to new generations. The center opened on June 7, 2012.

Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center is a war museum where the Çanakkale Wars are explained both chronologically and thematically. The museum building was left completely underground to create the perception of martyrdom. Two monumental walls extending opposite each other at the entrance of the building symbolize the Asian and European shores of the Dardanelles, and the light and dark colors of the walls symbolize the themes of war and peace. While the three columns at the head of the dark-colored wall represent the faith, courage and patriotism of the Turkish soldiers, the simplicity on the wall surfaces is described as the silence and solitude of death.

In 11 different animation rooms, some of which have moving platforms, important sections from the Battle of Çanakkale are conveyed to the visitors with 65 minutes of cine-vision. In addition, narration is provided in 7 different languages (English, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Italian and Arabic) with headphones for foreign visitors.

In the museum halls consisting of two floors, it is seen that all aspects of the war are explained to the visitors, supported by wax sculptures as well as dioramas and models.

There are also real trenches and military vehicles in the open landscape areas of the museum, where war objects, uniforms and equipment are exhibited, each with a different story and reflecting the war period.

The most interesting work in the museum display is the bloody uniform of Captain Eşref Efendi, who was martyred during the Dardanelles Wars. The referral note attached to the patient's jacket and the epaulets donated by his family are exhibited together with the photograph of our martyr in the hospital where the injured patient was brought. In addition to the wax statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who rose to the rank of colonel in the Çanakkale Wars, and the showcase with his personal belongings, the diorama area where the bayonet attack is depicted and the aircraft models of the period attract visitors attention.
