Çanlı Church

The Çanlı Church, which draws attention with the mummies unearthed until today, is also an important religious center.

As a result of the excavations, finds such as coins, lead bulbs, pieces of glass bracelets, metal earrings, rings, written documents, mummies and mummy fragments were found. The interior of the Çanlı Church is decorated with frescoes about Jesus Christ and His Apostles. There are houses of various sizes carved into the rocks and dating from the 10th to the 14th centuries in the church and its surroundings.
