Çatalhöyük Neolithic City

Çatalhöyük Neolithic City, which witnessed important social and change developments such as the beginning of agriculture and hunting, along with the transition to social life, which is an important universe of humanity, is located on an area of approximately 14 hectares in the South Anatolian Plateau. The taller East Mound of Çatalhöyük Neolithic City, consisting of two mounds, consists of 18 Neolithic settlement layers dated between 7400 and 6200 BC. These layers contain iconic murals, reliefs, sculptures and other halls that bring social organization and the home to life. The West Mound, on the other hand, shows cultural features belonging to the Chalcolithic Period, which are deeply dated between 6,200 and 5,200 BC. With these features, Çatalhöyük is also an important activity in the transition to life from villages that are more than 2000 years old in the same geography.
