Çayır Mosque
Çayır Mosque, located within the borders of Çaybaşı district, bears a direct resemblance to the Kargalı Wooden Mosque located in the south direction of the same district. It is not clear when and by whom this mosque was built. The dates of H. 1281 and 1288 are carved in the fountain in the courtyard. These dates, which correspond to Gregorian 1864-65 and 1871, may be the dates when the mosque and the fountain were built. Çaybaşı Wooden Mosques and Çayır Mosque The 4 wooden mosques in Çaybaşı district have similarities in terms of construction techniques. In addition, each of them was established on the border of the settlement areas, that is, at the intersection of the villages. They do not have minarets. All of them were built as Friday Mosque due to their functions for Friday prayers, and all of them are used today except Kargılı Wooden Mosque.
