Cedit Ali Pasha Mosque

Cedid Ali Pasha Mosque, which you will encounter on the way to Istanbul-Edirne, is one of the historical beauties of Babaeski district of Kırklareli. It is known that the mosque, which was restored in 1832, was built by Koca Sinan in 1555 by Cedid Ali Pasha. The mosque, which is covered with a large lead-covered dome, has two narthex places attached to each other. The mosque has a minaret with a single balcony and this minaret was destroyed during the Balkan War and later rebuilt. We recommend you to visit the Cedid Ali Pasha Mosque, which is a miniature of the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne.
