Çengilli Church
Çengilli Church, Çangli Church or Eğeknamor Monastery is a medieval Georgian church located in the center of Çengilli village in Kağızman district of Kars province.
The Georgian inscription of 1030 in Changli Church mentions it as a monastery. However, this inscription was published by the French Orientalist Marie-Félicité Brosset as an inscription from 1362. It was later used by the Armenians. As a matter of fact, Georgian historian and archaeologist Ekvtime Takaishvili, who visited the region at the beginning of the 20th century, writes in 1907 that Changli was a large Armenian village. Today the church is used as a common barn by the villagers.
