Çorum Kubbeli Mosque
The current mosque was built in 1921-1922 in place of the building, which was known as the Domed Masjid between 1697 and 1784, and was converted into a mosque by placing a pulpit in 1784. The last congregation place was built in 1938. On the door of the mosque opening to the harem, there is an inscription dated 1340. The mosque consists of a large single-domed, square-planned sanctuary, a three-domed mahfil in the north of the harim, and a trapezoidal narthex in the north. The last congregation place and the harim, which is entered from the east facades, is covered with a large dome. Access to the dome is provided by round arched squinches. There is a vegetal motif belly on the dome. The lower windows of the mosque are rectangular with pointed arches and iron bars, while the upper windows are rectangular shaped with pointed arches and plaster grids. Yellow cut sandstone was used as the construction material. The minaret is located in the northeast corner and is made of cut yellow stone, has a polygonal body and a single balcony.
