Cumhuriyet History Museum

Eskişehir Republic History Museum (Anadolu University Republic History Museum) is a museum found by Anadolu University on April 23, 1994 in the Odunpazarı region. The museum building was built by Architect Kemalettin as Turan Numune School between 1915 and 1916 as a three-storey building. It is located next to Eskişehir Atatürk High School in the Odunpazarı region, which is the traditional old settlement of Eskişehir and where this architecture is dominant. The flamboyant three-storey building with facades reflecting the architectural understanding of the First National Architecture Period was built by Architect Kemalettin between 1915-1916 under the name of Turan Numune School in the last period of the Ottoman education system. The building was used as a high school building before it was moved to the current building of Eskişehir Atatürk High School. It was restored by Anadolu University on April 23, 1994 and turned into a museum.
