Deveciler Inn

Deveciler Inn, also known as Fatih Mehmet Pasha Inn, is located south of Takyeciler Mosque and west of Yağıbasan Madrasa. He does not have a book. When the historical development of the architecture of the inn and the stalactites on the niches on both sides of the entrance door, the architectural and decoration techniques applied are evaluated, Çelebi Mehmet (1413-1421) or his son II. It is estimated that it was built during the reign of Murat (1421-1451). Because it is known that there was an intense development activity in the region at that time. There are many artifacts that have survived from the same period. The inn is registered to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation. The inn was built as two floors and the entrance is in the middle of the north façade. In front of the entrance door, there is an area covered with a dome. There are niches with muqarnas decorations on both sides of this area. On both sides of the gate, there are 10 shops on the east side and 5 shops on the west side. The courtyard is accessed through the vaulted area. It consists of 27 rooms, a toilet on the lower floor, 55 rooms and two toilets, 28 rooms and a toilet on the upper floor. Each room has a cupboard niche and a stove for storing things. On the east side of the inn, there are two large vaulted camel racks, which can be accessed through the door to the east of the courtyard. The outer door of the Develik section was closed during the renovation. Today, this part is used as a concert/conference hall. Gaziosmanpaşa University conservatory trainings are also held in the inn, but it is also open to visitors. Located on the historical Silk Road, Deveciler Inn is one of the oldest city inns offering single-occupancy accommodation.
