Eğri Bridge

Eğri Bridge is a historical bridge built on Kızılırmak in Sivas.

The bridge, which is slightly higher than the land in the direction of entrance to Sivas, continues for meters with a very slight elevation. When it reaches its highest point, it turns left at an angle of about 130 degrees. It resets to the terrain with a steeper slope than the previous elevation. With over 15 arches, the arches in the middle of the bridge grow in both width and height. It is made of cut stones. The bridge, which was previously open to vehicle traffic, was closed to traffic with the construction of a new bridge with the same name next to it.

Baghdad Silk Road passed over this bridge for centuries. Although it does not have an inscription, it is recorded in written sources that it was built during the Seljuk Dynasty. It is still well-maintained.
