Elazığ Kurşunlu Mosque

Kurşunlu Mosque, located in Harput and an Ottoman period work from 1739, takes its name from the fact that its domes are covered with lead. It is famous for its pulpit made of ebony wood, originally belonging to the Harput Ulu Mosque, and produced using the "kündekari" technique . In the courtyard of the mosque, there is a huge plane tree, which is almost the same age as Kurşunlu Mosque. These trees, registered and protected as Monumental Trees, protect the walls of the mosque from moisture with their roots, trap dust with their leaves, and offer a cool shade area where they can rest for the congregation and visitors who come to the mosque.
