Emir Ali Baba Tomb
He is the 2nd Admiral of the Ottoman Empire. He was in the conquest of Gallipoli and was martyred in the bloody war around the Great Mosque, which was then the Ayayorgi church.
On the mausoleum window, "Kaptan-ı Derya Ali Baba Tomb" is written H.758. (H 758 Conquest of Gallipoli) It is understood that he was a sailor in the anchor paintings on his tomb and refers to him as "Alemdar Ali Baba"
Since he was considered a great sailor by the Turkish sailors, until recently, they used to greet him by whistling with their sirens while passing in front of Gallipoli.
