Gökçetepe Castle
Gökçetepe Castle, which is one of the favorite spots of both Saros Bay and Keşan nature walks and history tours, is also mentioned as Gökçetepe Genoese Castle in historical records. The castle, which was built by the Genoese when they lived in the region, was also actively used during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods, but only a few parts of the castle have survived to this day. If you go to Gökçetepe Castle, which is thought to be built to protect the ancient harbor on a high hill overlooking the bay, at sunset, you can witness the fascinating views of Saros Bay.
