Grand Mosque (Muş)
Muş Grand Mosque is located in the Turkish province of Muş, west of the Alaeddin Bey and Hacı Şeref mosques. It is thought that it was first built in 979 by Sheikh Muhammed-i Moor.
When examined in terms of its architectural features, it can be seen that there is a new building built on an old building. The rubble is stone. It has no inscription. It is rumored that it was built in 979 by Sheikh Muhammedi Moor, lying in its courtyard. XIV. Dating to the second half of the century, the mosque has a rectangular plan.
The main space is covered with a dome in the middle and barrel vaults on the sides. The mihrab is plain, to the north there is the last congregation place with three domes made of cut stone. The simple crown door made of cut stone is in a pointed arched niche. Apart from the western wall, there are two windows on the other walls. Its minaret was damaged by the earthquake and was repaired in 1968 and 1972, remaining faithful to its original.
