Great Assault Martyrdom and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Memorial
The Great Offensive, which is one of the important legs of the liberation struggle, started on 26 August 1922 in Afyon. The Great Assault Martyrdom, located on the road roof of Izmir, Afyon and Antalya, was built on August 9, 2019 in memory of the soldiers who were martyred in this struggle. During the offensive, a total of 2425 of our soldiers reached the level of martyrdom. There are 500 symbolic martyrs' graves in the Great Attack Martyrdom and the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Monument, which were built to keep the memory of the martyrs alive. On both sides of the monument, a relief of 45 meters draws attention. The Mustafa Kemal Monument in the area is 18 meters high. Another architectural element of the monument is its door, which was built in the traditional arched style.
