Gümüşkaya Caves

Gümüşkaya Cavern is located in Gümüşkaya village on the banks of Göksu River in the southwest of Adıyaman province. Caves were made by people living in ancient times. The caves, which are seen as a cave city, consist of tunnels connected to each other. It has been determined that the caves, which are thought to have been built around 150 BC, were used as living spaces. The wells, balconies and passages made to reach the rooms in the cave are large enough for only one person to pass.

Gümüşkaya Cave, located on the border of Adıyaman province in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, is estimated to belong to 150 BC. You can witness various pictures and writings on the cave walls. If you happen to be here, be sure to go and visit it. Gümüşkaya Cave is located in Gümüşkaya village of Adıyaman city center. It is approximately 40 km away from Adıyaman city center. To reach the cave, which is approximately 40 km away from Adıyaman city center, you can reach the cave by following the signs with your personal vehicle. Or you can take the minibuses that leave from the city center and go to Gümüşkaya village.
