Güvercinlik Cave
Güvercinlik Cave is a completely horizontally developed watery cave as a cave type. Its height is 1160 m, its total length is 1351 m, and the deepest point to the entrance is -33 meters. Güvercinlik Cave has two entrances. The main entrance is located on the valley floor. The block is in the form of a muddy funnel clogged with rubble and earth, from which water enters from time to time. The second entrance is on the slope of the main entrance, 37 m above the floor, in the same valley.
GüvercinlikCave is a very watery cave. The waters entering from the Tınaz Tepe Sinkhole most likely reach the Güvercinlik Cave, continue to flow inside the cave, forming a waterfall about 70-80 m below the present entrance of the cave, and end with a siphon after 40-50 m. The waters plunging from here emerge as spring waters into the Suğla Plain. The water inside the cave continues to flow in the form of a small stream, coming out of the spring at the end of the cave, and ponds in pits. The water activity of the cave is quite high. The water that increases especially in the spring months enters from Tınaz Tepe Sinkhole and comes out as a spring at the end of the cave. This water continues its flow following the cave and sinks again from a place near the entrance of the cave without rising to the surface and continues its underground flow and emerges as a source in the Suğla Plain.
The large size of the Susuz Cave, the very beautiful travertine formations, the presence of water and lakes make the cave very beautiful and attractive.
