Güzelkaya (Şemdinli) Old Stone Arch Bridge

It is located on the Semdinli River and is 4 km from Bağlar Village. It has an admirable architectural texture. The inscription on the Stone Bridge contains explanations about the past. Şemdinli Stone Bridge was built in 1898 by Sheikh Muhammed Sıddık, who signed the important architectural structures of the city. Due to the wearing effect of time, it reached its final appearance by being restored. The bridge, located on the Iraqi road, is among the structures that still exist, with a length of 17 meters. The bridge has one eye and its height to the water in the middle reaches 11 meters. Smooth cut stones were used in the construction of the bridge. The last restoration work on the bridge was carried out in 2002.
