Hagios Georgios Monastery

There are the remains of Hutura Hagios Monastery and church on a hill on the road in Gumushane Hutura Village. This monastery was built by the Prince of Trabzon Alexios Komnenos in the 14th century and it was repaired in 1509 by the Monk Ananias Georgios Stratilatis in 1624. It is learned from an inscription on the church that the church was repaired during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit II.

The church is in the plan of a closed Greek Cross and a long paraclesion has been added next to it. The worship space of the church is divided into three naves with eight columns. The arms of the dome cross in front of the apse are also covered with barrel vaults. The entrance of the church is in the west direction and there is a main entrance with a covered column in the middle. The apse is in three round sections.

Inside the church, various herbal motifs, dragon and knitting motifs, Hz. It is adorned with monograms of Jesus Hagios Georgios.

The small church on the slope opposite the church was built by the monk Serapheim in 1832.
