Hamidiye Clocked Fountain

The fountain is located on the outer wall of the eastern burial ground of the Çapanoğlu Mosque. The history of the fountain is engraved. Despite this, the inscription and date of 19 August 1916 (M. 01 November 1900) are read in a cartridge on the middle pediment. On the east side of the Capanoğlu Mosque, facing the bazaar, adjacent to the burial ground, II. It was built by Abdülhamit in 1900 as a clock fountain during the 25th year of his accession to the throne. There is a picture in the 1325 Ankara yearbook. The body of the fountain with a half cylindrical body, narrow on both sides and wide front is divided into five with longitudinal profile moldings and into three with transverse profile moldings. At the top there is a round dial clock in a pointed arched niche. There are ornaments with a round sun symbol at the corners of the niche with a clock.
