Hapishane Fountain

The fountain located in Karakaş District was built in the second half of the 19th century. The prison building, named after the square fountain, after which the two facades are named, was built next to the fountain in later years. Currently, only one side of the double-sided fountain, which has round arched niches on both sides, is used. Some of the arch keystones were carved in a rectangular shape protruding outwards. The corners of the fountain are shaped with rounded columns attached to the wall and double-row profiled eaves.
