Hasan Ağa Mosque

It is not clear when the work, whose real name is Hasan Kethüda Mosque, is located 150 meters south of the Yağ Mosque in the Ali Ağa neighborhood. According to a rumor circulating among the people, it was built by Hasan Ağa, son of Abdullah, the kethüda, who oversaw the construction of the Ulu Mosque, when Ramazanoğlu Piri Pasha was outside of Adana as the governor, with the materials increased from this construction. Although the degree of accuracy of this narration is not known, it is noteworthy that there are great similarities between the two works in terms of the corrugated tiles, tiles, and colored stonework on the altars and pulpits covering the domes, apart from the vertical spaces on the side of the sanctuary. Considering these similarities and the fact that the completion date of the Ulucami is 1541, and the most recent tile-covered sarcophagus in its tomb is 1552, the XVI. It can be said that it was built in the middle of the century.

It is known that it underwent two major repairs in 1814 and 1946, and during these repairs, it is seen that the rectangular spaces on both sides of the sanctuary were changed and the porticoes on three sides of the courtyard were completely removed. The original parts that have survived from the first building consist of a harim, a minaret and a part of the narthex.
