Hava Cemetery
The Air memorial is a cemetery in the middle of the City Modern Cemetery, with a monument consisting of cubic elevations rising on a cubic pedestal, and the graves of the martyrs around it. It was built in 1936 to commemorate the participation of pilots named Cemal and Bahattin in the War of Independence with their broken planes on the morning of July 24, 1922, and their martyrdom after their plane crashed in Gazlıgöl. Our later martyrs were also buried here.
