Hıdırlık Masjid

Historical Mosque / Turkiye, Aegean, Kütahya

Hıdırlık Masjid

It has a square plan, a single dome, and the facade has a wide arch sail and a narrow iwan. It is a building from the Seljuks. It is understood from its inscription that it was built by Imadettin Hezar Dinari, one of the Anatolian Seljuk orders, between 1243-1244. From Hıdırlık, all parts of Kütahya can be seen. The mosque was restored in 1980 by the painter and ney player Ahmet Yakupoğlu and in 2004 by the General Directorate of Foundations.
