Hıdırlık Tower
Hıdırlık Tower is a cylindrical tower built in the 2nd century on the city walls of Antalya.
Built in the 2nd century, the tower is located in Karaalioğlu Park in the southwest corner of the city walls. It is 14 meters high, square at the bottom and cylindrical at the top. It is thought to have been built by the Roman emperor Hadriyanus.
There is a small room on the lower floor, and on the upper floor there is a sightseeing area around a very thick wall mass. From here, a staircase leads to the upper floor through a passage. The tower was used as a lighthouse and a watch tower for ships coming into the bay. Due to the fresco remains on the walls of the room on the lower floor, which have almost disappeared due to water infiltration for centuries, some sources indicate that it is a hero's tomb.
