Historic Laundry
The historical Laundry (Yunak) and Fountain in Adatepe Village in Vezirköprü district of Samsun are in danger of disappearing due to lack of interest. The Laundry, which is built on a water source that the residents of Adatepe village, 4 km away from the center of Vezirköprü, say is at least 200 years old and is estimated to have been flowing continuously for 5000 years, was used by the local people as a water complex with the historical fountain, ancient orchards and lake around it. The Laundry, which was built as approximately 100 square meters, consisting of 6 hearths with pointed arched brickwork and 11 laundry washing stones, draws attention with its neglected appearance today.
