Historical Tokat Houses

In Tokat, which has a rich cultural heritage, the Supreme Council of the Protection of Immovable Cultural and Natural Heritage took decisions in 1984, where the protected areas and structuring conditions were determined, and on the same date, 181 structures registered as a cultural asset. On this date, 124 traditional houses were registered, some of them were reduced from registration or new registration procedures were made. There are 131 traditional houses in the city today. However, there are many unique traditional houses that have not been registered in the city. The traditional houses located in Tokat city center are intensified in Hoca Ahmet Neighborhood, Devegörmez Neighborhood, Kabe-i Mescid Neighborhood, Ali Paşa Neighborhood, in the neighborhood of Soğukpınar and on the shores of Behzat Creek.
