Hünkâr Mansion Museum
The Hünkar Palace Museum was built at the base of Uludağ, in Temenyeri, in order to be a hunting lodge during the reign of Abdülmecid. The pavilion was built in 1859. Abdulaziz and Mehmed V (Sultan Reşad) also stayed in the mansion. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is among the people who came to the palace. Apart from his official visits, Ataturk stayed four times in the mansion. The ornamentation in the mansion, which was built in the French Empire style, carries the 19th century characteristics. The ceiling pen job adornments, the garden dominating the panoramic view of Bursa, original goods reflecting the period and the Atatürk Chamber attract attention. The Hünkar Pavilion, which has an elegant structure of two floors, also has a fountain covered with Kütahya Tiles on its frontier. The masonry is covered with plastered wooden walls and thin slats, with a guard and a consultation room and a garage. The museum, which was opened in 2003, is also known as the Atatürk Mansion and the Republic Mansion because it is a place visited by Atatürk.
